History

The enactment of RA 6975 which took effect on January 01, 1991 paved the way for the establishment of the PNP, BJMP and the BFP as separate entities under the umbrella power of the Department of the Interior and Local Government. In 2003, Tublay Municipal Jail was constructed through the initiative of J/SINSP DIONISIO T DENNEN who was then the concurrent Provincial Administrator. It is located at Acop, Caponga, Tublay, Benguet near Tublay Municipal Hall thirteen (13) kilometers away from Baguio City. Tha Jail was constructed through the leadership of J/SSUPT RAFAEL T DELSON who was then the Assistant Regional Director, BJMP-CAR. After the contruction of the said jail it was utilized as Office of the Provincial Administrator until manned by duty personnel as caretakers. At present Tublay Municipal Jail is manned by SJO2 Enrique G Abad as caretaker.
